Jay started playing guitar at age 15 and shortly thereafter he started his first band. "We were covering the bands like BIOHAZARD, SLAYER, & PANTERA and always just generating a rowdy pits all over Albany(New York)!"   Jay was fortunate enough to have everyone's gear stored at his house and he quickly picked up the basics for bass, guitar, and drums... which helped in the writing process.  His experiences over the years include recording and multiple gigs at the infamous 'WHISKEY A GO GO' in Hollywood, with a long list of both original and cover bands throughout Southern Cal. Jay moved to the San Jose area and after taking a year off of his music, he's now locked horns with 6:AM to add another layer to their sound.   
      His influences include Metallica, Tool,   Alice In Chains,  Killswitch Engage,  Pantera,
BB King,  10 Years, The Police and  Primus  to name a few. 
    Jay's main axe is a Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 and backed up by an Ibanez Custom Series.   He grinds through a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier / Cabinet with various Line 6 effects and a GCX ground control switcher.  "The distortion in this rig makes me want to break stuff!"
   His favorite songs to play right now are Unclean and Whiskey.  "Anyone who's ever had addiction in their life can identify with these songs.  Plus they just rock!"
